Ingredients:

4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 ½ cups warm water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the warm water and vegetable oil.
Using a wooden spoon or your hands, mix the ingredients until a rough dough forms.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Add a little more flour if the dough feels sticky.
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm, draft-free area for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release the air. Transfer it back to the floured surface and knead for a few minutes to remove any air bubbles.
Grease a standard loaf pan (9x5 inches) with oil or butter.
Shape the dough into a loaf shape that fits the pan and place it into the greased loaf pan, seam side down.
Cover the loaf pan with the kitchen towel and allow the dough to rise for another 30-45 minutes until it reaches just above the rim of the pan.
While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the dough has risen, place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the bread is golden brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Now, you have a delightful homemade white bread that's perfect for sandwiches, toast, or simply enjoying with butter and jam. Enjoy the satisfaction and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread straight from your own kitchen!
